About Us

~Hall's Horseshoeing has been proudly serving the Central Oregon area since 1994.
~

I have been involved in horses for all my life.   As a second generation Farrier, I have the experience, knowledge and dedication to properly serve you and your horse to the best of my ability.

I have a vast experience base,  and have traveled with and worked along side of some of the top Farriers in the USA, and World.  I can effectively care for your needs, regardless of what you use your Equine Partner for.

I offer a complete Farrier Service.  I do not believe in just ONE way to shoe or trim your horse.  I am educated and experienced in several methods of Shoeing and Trimming.  I work on all breeds which cover many riding disciplines, and will shoe/trim your horse accordingly to it's specific needs.

Lameness issues are always welcome, and I will gladly consult with your Veterinarian to work towards an effective and thorough recovery.   My shoes are  almost always shaped and fit hot to achieve a perfect fit.

I work efficiently and quietly and provide a low-stress atmosphere for young and/or abused Horses.  I will also work with your Veterinarian on horses which require special needs and/or sedation.

Occasionally my travels take me out of the Central Oregon Area.

My spare time finds me competing in Rodeo Events, (Calf Roping and Steer Wrestling) and making various Blacksmith and Ornamental Iron projects.   I also enjoy raising/training Australian Shepherd Dogs, and spending time riding through the back-country trails in Central and Eastern Oregon.

Educational Influences~

I grew up as the son of a Farrier, so naturally, I didn't have too many options to learn much else at a young age.  Horseshoeing and the Farrier craft has been something that  I took part in starting from a very young age.  I shod horses for my friends beginning in High School, and continued shoeing Horses to work my way through College.

Over the years, I have mentored under some very noteworthy Farriers from across the US, attended many clinics, seminars, and simple Farrier Get-Togethers.  My travels as a Farrier have taken me throughout the West-Coast and even as far as Texas, Oklahoma, and Florida.  I have met some wonderful people (and their horses) in my travels, and seen some beautiful country.  Experiences that I wouldn't trade for anything.

I am a member of the American Farriers Association, and have completed my Certified Farrier certification.  I attended the AFA National Convention held this year in Portland, Oregon February 23-27.  The convention provided a week long educational experience filled with Guest Speakers, Clinics, Seminars and a Forging/Horseshoeing Competition.

I actively participate on  several Internet discussion forums and directly interact with Farriers and Equine Care Professionals from all over the world.

I spend many hours per week perfecting my skills, building horseshoes, reading and continuing my education in every way possible.
